Continuing Education Fund Guidelines |

The Indiana Urban Forest Council is pleased to offer educational funds to its members in good standing.* Funds can be used to attend local, state or national conferences and seminars. Preference is given to members who have not attended a conference or seminar on IUFC funds previously. - All requests for funds should be made in writing by completing a scholarship application. Request for funds should be accompanied by a conference schedule of programs. Mail requests to the Indiana Urban Forest Council, P.O. Box 409, Carmel, IN 46082. Please allow up to 30 days for a reply. The Indiana Urban Council Executive Committee will review applications.
- $500.00 of expenses is covered. No match is required. Expenses include registration, lodging and transportation. Meals not included as part of your registration are eligible for reimbursement up to $32 a day. Car rental is not included. The attendee will pay all expenses up front. After attending the event, submit your receipts and an agenda of the sessions you attended within the conference, to the IUFC Executive Director, Nancy Anderson for reimbursement. Receipts must include date and place and be submitted and the agenda must have the sessions you attended highlighted. Documentation including receipts and in-kind forms must be submitted within 30 days of attending the event.
- Recipients are requested to share the information gathered from the seminar or conference through a written or oral presentation. Examples include: Speaking at an IUFC meeting, writing an article for the Communicator, creating a presentation for the traveling display or any other acceptable presentation material.
- Funds will be spent on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to applicants who have not previously received IUFC scholarship funds.
- Funds will be awarded to applicants that have paid the full individual, non-profit/government or corporate membership rate.
